Volkswagen Canada unveiled the new 2013 CC. First introduced in the 2009 model year, the CC captured the hearts of style-conscious Canadians by offering the comfort and convenience of a four door sedan and the stylish good looks of a coupé. This was the origin of the “Comfort Coupé” and the 2013 model now takes the next step.

With completely redesigned front and rear sections, the CC now features an even more sophisticated and dynamic overall appearance.

Inside, the combination of style and comfort reaches a new high, as the rear seating area has now been configured for three passengers, yet retains the look of two individual bucket seats.

As Volkswagen’s technology leader, the 2013 CC has been equipped with additional standard features such as Bi-xenon headlamps with AFS, a technology which allows the lights to “turn” with the steering wheel for better illumination around corners. LED daytime running lights and LED brake lights add an elegant touch both front and rear. Dual zone, automatic climate control and a rear-view camera are now also standard, as is Bluetooth mobile phone connectivity, a premium 8 speaker touch screen audio system, and automatic headlamps and wipers.

Dynamically, the CC is powered by Volkswagen’s award-winning 2.0L TFSI engine, coupled to a choice of two 6 speed transmissions. The manual unit offers smooth, affirmative shifting to go along with the standard sport suspension. Drivers looking for a combination of sportiness and ease of use can opt for the twin-clutch, automated DSG transmission, which delivers outstanding driving feel and fuel economy, with the added convenience of automated shifting.

Later in the year, a 280 hp V6 coupled with 4MOTION all-wheel-drive CC will join the lineup. Like all Volkswagens, the new CC is backed by a 4 year, 80,000 km limited warranty, and a 5 year, 100,000 km powertrain warranty.
